PASSING LINK is a welded chain, similar in general appearance to other straight link welded chains. Its distinctive feature, from which it derives the name, is the ability of its links to pass each other freely, revolving within each other and changing direction without kinking or tangling, because of their extra width.
Since Passing Link does not tangle and allows continual free movement, it has been of particular interest as an animal tie chain, and has been adapted to other farm and ranch applications. It is also regarded as a good general utility chain because it is smooth and compact, attractive in appearance, and strong enough for many applications, as well as being non-kinking.
Material: Basic carbon steel.
Attachments: Most standard attachments can be easily fitted to Passing Link chain. Typical kinds include S-hooks, small slip or grab hooks, snaps, eye bolts or rings. A wide variety of fitting with special attachments is also possible. Chain can be supplied in cut lengths, as specified, and with or without attachments.
Standard Finishes: Regularly supplied Bright Zinc. For other finishes, please inquire.
Standard Packing: Any size, 100 feet in a carton. Longer lengths, as well as cut length, are packed in bulk containers. Also available on merchandiser reels.
